Lesson learned

The team has learned to make use of GIS on QGIS to better understand how the implementation of the new Thomson-East Coast MRT Line Stage 4 stations will serve their community by analyzing the different establishments within a 5-10 minutes walking distance from each station. Through trial and error, we were able to come up with a suitable method to analyze the surrounding buildings of the TEL Line Stage 4 stations.

We have also learned to make use of external resources such as Google Maps to facilitate our data collection and analysis. This cross-referencing method allowed our data to be more accurate than simply following a single source of information.
